Only some types of chemotherapy make you lose your hair . .and, yes, . . all hair on the body is affected. But it is only temporary during the chemotherapy treatments. Once you stop chemo the hair starts growing back.

I have been taking chemo for over a year. I have never lost all of my hair,yet. The hair on my head got very thin, lost my eyelashes, eyebrows almost, pubic hair stayed. I think it must depend on the drug and the persons reaction to that drug. After the first shock, it really didn't matter to me- you find ways to work around it. The only thing that matters is that I keep on fighting the cancer.

It could be a condition called alopecia areata that makes you loose hair. Take the kid to the doctor and have him checked out. Here is a link that explains the condition, what causes it, how it's diagnosed, and how it's treated. A friend of mine had this when we were in Middle school and it just made her have bald spots all over her head. Other than bold spots, she was fine. Being that it's your brother, he would have an easier time dealing with no hair than a girl would!! Good Luck!!

first you need to put soft waves in then curl the waves. When your hair is wet, put it in braids and leave them overnight, when you take them out they will have waves where the chunks were woven together. Next you can take a big metal roll brush, wrap your hair around it, the bigger the roll the better, and blow it dry even tho your hair is already dry, the heat and metal with the dryer on high will make your hair super shiny and big bouncy curls and it will be temporary until you wash again.

She probably feels neglected. Possibly got so stressed out that you were gone she didn't eat and it made her shed. Hopefully you left her enough food or had an automatic feeder type of thing.

she freaked out and is still freaking out- sounds like she is going through seperation anxiety. my moms cats wont eat as much when they are gone- even when they hire someone to come take care of them. she is crying to express her feelings to you. i would just hold her and love on her and reassure her and maybe baby her for a few days--give her tuna or something that spoils her like that. she is definitely your baby. you might have someone check in on her next time if you have someone you trust for that. i know i have the problem of not having someone i trust with my babies.

did she have company while you were gone? Have you left her before? She very well might have been lonely. Excessive hair loss in a cat is normally stress related. This could very well be why she wasn't eating either she may have been depressed. Give her lots of attention and talk to her with a soothing voice. Your cat is stressed. You should not leave her unattended like that. You should have someone come by everyday maybe even twice a day to check on her. The hair loss is due to stress and so is the weight loss. I had a friend go out of town for a few days and we were at his house tending to his cat twice a day. She was fine when he returned. A little pissed that he was gone so she ignored him for a couple hours but she was fine. You need to call your vet and get her checked out just to be safe, the poor thing.

the way i see it your cat was just stressed out and was missing you terribly which could have lead to the lack of apetite and excessive grooming on its part. just pamper it a bit and reassure it that youre not going anywhere soon.

After we left my cat for, about three days, he howled constantly for an hour and a half, followed us around the house and demanded food, petting and every sort of attention he thought he could get out of us. Over the next month or so he followed me around constantly and even tried to go into the bathroom with me because he didn't want to let me out of his sight.

While its likely your cat will calm down and mellow out I would still suggest you take it to a vet to be sure there's nothing seriously wrong with it.

She was stressed from you leaving. My cats hate it when I leave them for short periods of time. She may be crying for your attention. Make sure you are paying a lot of attention to her, lots of toys and love. And make sure she is eating right now that you are home. If she doesn't seem to get better within a few days or seems to get worse, loses more weight, hair or crying, I would take her to the vet to see if something happened to her while you were gone or if she is sick. Check your vitamin supplement for "vitamin A". If the label says retinol palmitate be aware that it is an essential metabolite, not really a vitamin and it has been been linked to hair loss. Its "vitamin A" is beta carotene. Zinc deficiency has also been linked to hair loss and since zinc is a limiting nutrient on a veg*n diet a 15-30 mg zinc supplement might be worth a try.

It is all natural too. Do not shampoo everyday. More like 1x a week depending on your activities. Try to avoid using anything containing alcohol or any heat (dryer, straightener or chem straightener!)

you could get your hair rowed. my hair is curly too and what i do is to keep it plait or rowed, and i noticed that it's much easier to manage now and brush your hair it or use the blow dryer with the comd to do you hair it will make it lighter without damaging it. or you could just get a e straighting comb or iron thos work magic but i normally get a black hair dresser to do it cause they are use to dealing with kinky hair try one of the above and let me no if they help. i know they work cause they worked for me
