Is it ok to shave my chest and stomach?im 17 and i have to much body hair. how can i lose some or make it thin

I wouldn't suggest shaving it (w/ a razor) but what my boyfriend does (he is also very hairy) is he uses hair clippers/shaver the electric kind and puts a spacer on it (desired length) and that just thins it out. It actually made a huge difference and looks alot better and without razor burn or bumps. hope that helps!!:)

You can get it removed using laser

SHAVE UR BALLZ

There some more options like nair or veet. or waxe or nads.

there are also lotions that make your hair grow back less thick and slower, use one of those.

try a men's hair removal cream. If you keep using it the hair will eventually just stop growing back. Be careful though, you might come to like your hair so if you have it permanently removed make sure you've thought it all the way through first!

hair removal cream. take 5-10mins to works and no pain, you'll have to do pretty often though, laser could be an option for one hell of a cost. XD waxing is too painful for chest or stomach. so go with the cream XD

oh and they say constant use of the cream could eventually lessen the hair XD

Who says you have too much body hair?

If you really are self conscious, do as someone suggested and use and electric trimmer with the 'thinning' attachments.

just shave it of my partner does it all the time i love a hairless man so ye go for that.

The best thing to do is just get over it. It's not mentally healthy to keep fighting your body reality. If you are hairy, be PROUDLY HAIRY. Tinkering with superficial stuff like hair all the time leads to poor self esteem. You are who you are -- rejoice in the body you have.

A few days ago, someone in Mens Health had laser removal of his body hairs. He is into competitive swimming and his body hairs is basically slowing him down. He did not mention the cost but I think it is darn expensive.

It's your body and your hair. You can do exactly as you like. You don't need anyone else's permission.

dont shave wax it

I am confused with hair loss and balding can you help?

Hello.

How is it possible to bald when you have hair when you lose less then a 100 strands a day?

All views welcome.

I am confused with hair loss and balding can you help?

I think that some people start out with fewer hairs on their heads. Plus, some people lose a lot more than the 75-hairs-per-day rate that we learned about in school.

I am confused with hair loss and balding can you help?

You typically lose much more in a day. If you are losing only 100 a day, then you don't have a lot to start with. Balding can be genetic, too much hair product clogging hair folicles or a lack of circulation. (Pony tails, etc)

I am confused with hair loss and balding can you help?

About the hair loss you can try with rosemarine tea.Boil 2 spoons of rosemarine in a water for 3-4 minutes then leave it untill will be good enought to wash your hair with it.You can try it every day.But the results will come after 3 weeks and later.

How do I stop my cat constanly grooming/cleaning to the point he has chewed his hair off one of his

He's a ragdoll. Quite needy and has also lost weight and shedding hair quite dramatically from the mid to the back top part of his body. (Has been wormed and fleaed)

How do I stop my cat constanly grooming/cleaning to the point he has chewed his hair off one of his legs?

If your cat hasn't been seen by a vet recently, then you need to take him in for a check up. He has a variety of symptoms and they may or may not be related. The excessive grooming could be due to parasites, inhaled allergens, food intolerance or even stress. If your cat isn't feeling well, this could make him stressed.

The articles below on skin allergies and food intolerance have lots of information which you may find helpful.

The average cat spends over a third of their waking day grooming. Not only does it keep their coat in good condition, it's also very therapeutic in relieving tension. However, if a cat is feeling stressed, they will use grooming as a diversionary activity - it's far more comforting than facing up to the problem. If the vet thinks it's stress related, he might suggest fitting him with an Elizabethan collar to prevent him from grooming. A Feliway plug in might help, as they emit an aroma that cats find comforting. (You'll need to use it for at least 3 weeks to see the full benefits.) If he'll allow you to groom him, spend more time doing this, as not only will it strengthen the bond between you, but it may reduce his desire to do it. Try also diverting his attention to something else, such as toys to see if this will help break the habit. Bach Flower Remedies can be helpful in treating stress or other emotional problems in cats. The web article below explains which ones to use and how to administer them.

Hope he will be okay.

I have a very old dog that did this. I would recommend taking him to the vet. I took my dog to the vet and he ended up having a yeast infection on his feet that's why he was cleaning them all the time, which in turn made it worst. I had to give him oral medication and bandage his feet to clear it up!! I hope that's not what it is but I would recommend taking him to the vet to be sure!

It sounds like he has some sort of rash, have you been to the vet about it? They might want to give him the e-collar to give him a chance to heal, and probably some ointment if it is a rash.

Oh my. Your little pumpkin actually has a fairly common, yet serious psychological problem. Cats that pull out their hair are very nervous. (It's like the human mental illness known as 'trichotillomania") Grooming and cleaning are one thing - these are perfectly normal and only cause problems when your cat is THE ONLY ONE grooming him - which means he's not being combed my his owner - and he swallows enough hair to cause a ball of hair to form in his stomach. It may be regurgitated or it can clog his intestinal tract - A HUGE VETERINARY EMERGENCY! He's probably lonely - not necessarily for another cat, but for you! PLEASE tell your vet what is happening because his leg needs antibiotic prophalactic treatment so as to avoid a staph infection. He's also losing weight. This is not a good sign - if he is on the older side (13+) I'm sorry to say that he may be readying himself for death. When cats stop taking in nutrition, they've sorta' given up. I think a lot of TLC, a trip to the vet, perhaps a change in diet [the vet will give you special high calorie food to plump him up] and LOADS OF TOYS, OPEN BAGS TO CRAWL INTO, BALLS TO ROLL AROUND, SCRATCHING POSTS COVERED WITH CATNIP, ETC. Then each week take some toys away and bring some of the older ones out - your cat will not remember the old toy and think he's got a brand new gift!! You also mentioned that he has shed his fur from the mid to the back top of his body. This sounds like a thyroid problem - probably hyperthyroidism - which also accounts for the loss of weight. Hyperthyroidism also makes kitties nervous and they wind up chewing off their hair. A vicious cycle. Please get him to a good vet SOON and I think you'll have a good outcome. I'm sure you love him - he just needs to know that. 20 minutes per day of your sole attention for playtime and combing is not too much to ask. Remember, pets are a lot like children - we don't neglect either.

Best Wishes - I hope he'll be purring soon!

What did you use to treat the fleas. Hair loss in cats can be flea bite dermatitis or some other allergy, ring worm, or hyperthyroidism. If the cat is young it's more likely not a thyroid condition. By the description in your question it sounds like some kind of skin allergy. I think you should take him to the vet for a checkup.

How do I stop my cat constanly grooming/cleaning to the point he has chewed his hair off one of his legs?

This behaviour is usually caused by an allergy to flea saliva, they can scratch themselves raw and chew all the fur off their hind ends because of this condition.

Try bathing your cat in a medicated, anti-flea dog/cat shampoo. Add a desert spoon of vegetable oil or a couple of enchinea drops to their food on a daily basis to improve the condition of their skin and help with hair-balls. Be dedicated about flea prevention treatment, and eradicate all fleas from your house.

Mostly, learn to live with a cat that looks scraggy during the flea season. The hair usually grows back during the winter - until the next spring, then it starts all over again...

I beg you to try the vet again, my cat was diagnosed with a "Behavioral" problem, then we found out he was just allergic to his food. You can research good/bad ingredients all over the Internet. I had to request a blood test to be certain, but I'm happy to buy special food rather than give him kitty-Prozac.

How do you wear a hat with long hair?

Hi, I bought a really nice truckers hat from the internet and I tried it on today and I look totally stupid. I have long hair so it sticks out and flops over my ears and I look like a right idiot lol.

I used to wear hats all the time but since I grew my hair i've lost the interest in wearing them. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make the hat look good on me again?

Perhaps some photographs of people with long hair + hat?

Thanks for your help, i'm going out in about 30 minutes so whoever has helped me by then will get the best answer. Thanks

How do you wear a hat with long hair?

Just ignore it. If you care it WILL look bad. If you make yourself have the confidence to wear it, you can pull anything off.

Honestly.

That's how I am with pony tails. I just pull it up and don't look in a mirror. If I do I'll spend FOREVER trying to make it "Perfect" and end up pissed and irritable.

How do you wear a hat with long hair?

You're welcome! :) Im sure it didnt look bad. Report It

How do you wear a hat with long hair?

just put it on and dont look at yourself ive seen so many guys with long hair and a hat and they look fine just brush your hair back and out on the hat im sure youll look ok

How do you wear a hat with long hair?

If it looks stupid on you, I don't think there's anything you can do except change your hairstyle. It's not like you can do anything different with the hat.

How do you wear a hat with long hair?

hm u can make two pigtail. it would look uber cute and if you do it right when u take the hat off you wont have that awkward style that hats love to give

How do you wear a hat with long hair?

Put it in a pony tail and pull the pony tail throught the back of the hat...

Get a hair cut you hippie

How do you wear a hat with long hair?

We have recently took on a shitzu who has lost alot of hair .she did itch a bit . what is wrong with

The best thing to do is take her to the vet. Losing hair and having itchy skin can be many things.. especially if you dont know much about her. It could be allergies, demodectic or sarcoptic mange, a thyroid issue, bad diet, or simply just dry skin. Take her to the vet to rule out any serious issues that should be treated. If her health check is good, then buy an oatmeal based shampoo and bathe her once every 2 weeks until it starts to improve then bathe less often. Make sure you are feeding a good food (no store brand dog foods) You can also put cod liver oil or omega oil on her food to improve her skin and coat. All of these are things to try, good luck!

We have recently took on a shitzu who has lost alot of hair .she did itch a bit . what is wrong with her?

The first thing vets look at is the food. Put her on a QUALITY food with fish, no beef. Beef is the number one thing dogs are alergic too. Dont bathe her because it could be the shampoo, only take her to a groomer and tell them to use gentle shampoo. My guess is that it is a genetic disease and I think that you should call your vet.

We have recently took on a shitzu who has lost alot of hair .she did itch a bit . what is wrong with her?

Try checking this first-

Give her a bath. Let her dry and smell her the next day. Does she have an odor still (if had one previously). If so, my guess would be sarcoptic mange. Different from the more common demodectic mange. Mitoban is some great stuff if you get it from your vet.

Other than that, an allergic reaction to food, shampoo, your fabric detergent and softeners, medication, or fleas?

The simple check first is the bath. Often anti-itch shampoos will help, but not if it is the mange. For temporary relief- Aveeno bath mix for people gives some relief.

To test for this at the vet, they do a tiny skin scraping and look at it under microscope. This little mange mite looks really painful too!

We have recently took on a shitzu who has lost alot of hair .she did itch a bit . what is wrong with her?

It might be a skin allergy. Dogs are prone to have them. I would take it to the vet as soon as possible so you know for sure that she doesn't have mange.

We have recently took on a shitzu who has lost alot of hair .she did itch a bit . what is wrong with her?

A vet would be able to determine what is wrong with her. Losing hair and itching could be a sign of many things, as others said. I did not see fleas or mites or yeast. All common. ShihTzus get yeast infections in their ears because of their floppy ears, and it can spread through out the skin. There is a nasty odor that goes along with the yeast infections, if that helps. My Tzu had yeast throughout her ears and skin. My vet said to bathe her with Selsun Blue Medicated shampoo. Vet also gave me drops for her ears, but she gave me such a hard time with the drops, I just used the shampoo. Cleared up the yeast pretty fast. BUT I am not saying that is what your dog has. Go to a vet to find out what it may be.

We have recently took on a shitzu who has lost alot of hair .she did itch a bit . what is wrong with her?

Aah that's awfull poor dog take her to the vets it sounds like mange I love my dog and the vet is good thought of registering there myself as it's better treatment than the NHS woof woof

We have recently took on a shitzu who has lost alot of hair .she did itch a bit . what is wrong with her?

I have taken on a dog with a similar problem and all the vet did was charge me a large amount of cash and told me nothing. As several people have said it could be anything, One of the problems I have put it down to is stress of leaving the owner. Along with allergies. the vet wanted to start testing for this but decided not to when found out the price per sample.

I have just kept bathing her with a gentle shampoo for dogs, and the girlfriends has used a antiseptic cream on any area's that are troublesome. It seems to have worked as the dogs hair is now starting to slowly regrow and the itching has eased alot. She still has itching spells but it is a matter of keeping an eye on her and try changing a few things. Do you use a carpet freshener when you hoover. Do you wash her bedding with the same washing powders as you use for your own clothes. It might just be some thing as simple as fleas.

Hope you find out the problem soon.
