My hair falls off so crzy, i lose hundreds of hair everyday and am only 15. Suggestions? Please.?

Well, first of all, I wanted to add something to an earlier answer -- cancer does not cause your hair to fall out! Chemotherapy, a treatment for cancer, does. :)

I went through the exact same thing when I was 15. My formerly thick, thick hair fell out nearly in bunches, and its texture changed. I was born with a full head of hair, and it used to be that even when cut in layers, scissors would slip on my hair because it was so thick, slippery and there was so much of it. Well, when I was 15, that all changed. My hair became very fine, and there was less of it. I still have lots of hair, and was never anywhere near bald by the end of the whole process, but my hair had completely changed. I saw a dermatologist, who said that this was sometimes seen in teen girls -- for me, it was hormonal change. They brought about not only menstruation and other physical changes for me, but also a change in my hair type. Once i learned that, I calmed down and now appreciate my frizz-less, wash-and-go hair.

I would advise that you go see a dermatologist -- this is the type of doctor to see if you're losing hair (since scalp is a part of the skin, something that people sometimes overlook!). The dermatologist will be able to examine your scalp and let you know if your hair loss is due to excessive dryness, a skin condition, etc. Based on what he or she sees, the dermatologist can either prescribe a topical or internal medicine, or can refer you to another type of doctor who can diagnose the problem.

The cause could be hormonal changes that happen at this time; stress; family history; nutritional deficiencies; a variety of other factors. Perhaps you're not even losing an alarming amount of hair, and it only seems like you are. But, there's no way for you to tell and to administer an effective treatment without seeing a doctor.

just to let u know I have the same problem, and I'm the same age. It's caused by stress, lack of sleep, or it could be the kind of shampoo that ur using. Just try not to get stressed out, and if u do notice a huge mole that just appeared and losing hair, then it might b cancer. Good luck! Hope this helps!!!

That sometimes happen to girls of adolecense. You might straighten your hair continuesly and that can cause why your hair falls of. You might need to change shampoo, the one that you have might be causing the problem.
