Do cancer patients lose there pubic hair when they go through kemo?

me and my girlfriend had a big debate about this

Do cancer patients lose there pubic hair when they go through kemo?

Not all chemotherapy regimes cause hair loss; some just cause hair thinning, and some don't cause hair loss at all.

Chemo that causes hair loss can cause hair loss anywhere on the body. Some people lose all their body hair, some lose just some of it, and pubic hair is often the first to go.

I lost the hair on my head and my pubic and underarm hair; my eyelashes and eyebrows thinned out a bit, but I was lucky enough not to lose them. The hair on my legs didn't budge.

Interestingly, my underarm hair never grew back.

There is no way for the chemo to pick and choose which hair folicles it will attack. Once the hair starts to fall out it will fall out from eveywhere. I lost hair due to medication. Although it wasn't as drastic as chemo I lost it all over.

yes

Depends on how severe the chemo treatment is. I only lost the hair on my head when I underwent my chemo treatments and it later gradually came back (well some of it haha most stayed gone but it was going anyway).
