Need help with hair????

my 9yr. old brother has lost alot of his hair and is getting bald every minute we look at him. he had started off with small bald spots and then got bigger and bigger . well the question is ..WHAT CAN HE POSSIBLY HAVE AND WHY IS HIS HAIR FALLING OUT?..PLEASE I NEED YOUR OPINIONS AND ADVICE!!

It could be a condition called alopecia areata that makes you loose hair. Take the kid to the doctor and have him checked out. Here is a link that explains the condition, what causes it, how it's diagnosed, and how it's treated. A friend of mine had this when we were in Middle school and it just made her have bald spots all over her head. Other than bold spots, she was fine. Being that it's your brother, he would have an easier time dealing with no hair than a girl would!! Good Luck!!
