Hair Loss Because of PANTENE PRO-V?

I purchased pantene pro-v almost 5 months ago and as with any new shampoo/conditioner, I saw "great" results for the first month. However, slowly I started to notice the build-up in my hair and whenever I went to shampoo/conditioner, I would lose a large amount of hair.

I'm assuming this was because of the pantene pro-v because I've stopped with it and my hair loss has stopped as well.

Perhaps I'm paranoid but to me it seems as the the top front portion of my hair has thinned very much, will my hair regrow in that area? Has PANTENE screwed me royally?

I'm currently using Pantene pro-v and it works perfectly fine for me. I kinda like it.

Omg yes! i work in a beauty salon and alot of clients complain about hair loss. The first question i ask is what brand of shampoo and conditioner they're using, and they always say pantene! Pantene contains wax in it. Ugh, that so not good for the hair! I dont know but whatever it is that's in the shampoo and conditioner, it is making people's hair fall out. i dont recommend that anyone uses that brand of shampoo or conditioner or any product of pantene for that reason!

A few years ago a good friend of mine had the same thing happen to her.She called the 1-800 number on the back of the bottle and they told her to stop usage of the product and that she was allergic to Pantene.

weird! the same thing happened to me, so i switched to my old shampoo and my hair is growing back fine.

i learned in beauty school that pantene is HORRIBLE for your hair! it is.i know, i used to use a few years ago. If you can still smell the shampoo after you shower, it's a bad thing, cause that means there is build up in your hair. go with salon products. NIOXIN shampoo works reaaally good for thinning hair. i use it. i don't like that smell, but its awesome. i buy the travel size pantene bottles and brush my nails with them lol. they make my nails grow super fast!
