How to repair color treated and relaxed damanged hair?

Im of mixed race and my hair is nt kinky but wavy and fine. From time to time i relax my hair to detangle(only on the roots) it since it never straightens it, and it has worked finr for me. Last year I had my hair professionally colored and 2wks later and relaxed my hair as always without any problems. But now i recentlly did the same thing except i colored my myself and now my hair has shedded. So I deep conditoned my hair and wear hair in a low lose pony tail. What can I do to repair this damage? And what should I do differently in the future?

Hair damage cannot be reversed. You can use conditioners and serums to hide the damage, but the only way to get rid of it is to cut it off.

Given your grade of hair you should not have colored it and relaxed so close in time together. What you need to do now is stay away from heat like curling irons, straighteners and blow dryers. Keep conditioning your hair and wearing it in a minimal ponytail. Also get some tea tree oil (get this at a place that carries african american hair products) and apply it as the directions say. It will aid in growth as well as making the hair stronger and reducing breakage. In the future wait at least 6wks before doing multiple chemicals on the hair.

sometimes a quick fix for my hair is to leave olive oil in it for half an hour then after i wash and condition, it comes out SOFT. you could also wrap a warm towel around your head or use a blow dryer on low

Do some deep treatment to your hair once every week, and let it sit on your hair for a couple hours before washing off. It really helps to get better hair in a few weeks. You can check the reviews on different hair treatment in the source.
