What is a good product to get beach-like waves in my hair?

I have shoulder length, straight hair with almost no volume without a product. My hair has this nice beachy look when I get out of the shower and towel dry my hair, but it loses it as soon as my hair is fully dry. I've tried hairspray, but it leaves it looking too wet. Any suggestions?

Make 2 plats in your hair when its wet. Sleep with them. In the morning just use some spray or gel, it poof the curls up a bit and make them stay in. Also a salt spray is good for getting messy waves. Try Umberto Gianni salt spray its about 3.99

First, moisturize your hair with a good moisturizer. i suggest ntm silk-touch.

Then put gel in your hair and braid your hair into four braids. The more braids, the smaller the curls, the less braids, the bigger. Let the braids airdry and then take them down, shake and you'll have waves.

i think grarnier has a shampoo and conditioner for volumemizing your hair and there is herbal essences that has them too. Just look in the shampoo section and read the labels i hope it gets solved soon :]
