I'm afro american and I wash my hair every 2 weeks and whenever I detangle, I always end up with a hand full of hair.

well, when i wash mine, which isz about evey 3-4 daysz, only a few strandsz come out. i dont think thatsz good when a handful of hair comesz out. You should probably try combing it gently with a wide toothe comb so less hair comesz out.

I used to have the same problem. I found that brushing my hair everyday helps it from coming out so much. Put some coconut oil in it and brush it and it looks really good and soft. Very easy to manage. You also may want to try a protein pack, if you're hair is styled in a way that you can't brush it every night.
