i have thick hair, im a teenager and im unsure if i am losing more then normal amounts of hair. most noticed in shower and when drying hair. is it normal to find 5 or 6 hairs in the towel after you dry your hair with they towel.?
i mean i dont notice any thinning but its only been happening a few months and i have a lot of hair so its hard to notice any changes.
my hair is dryer and weaker, and my scalp is ichy. is that a sign of like a tyroid problem maybe?
More than normal hair loss?
Well, there is nothing wrong with that. I have the same thing. my hair is thick and very long. It could be for different reasons
1. Do you highlight your hair or do you get it permed? This damages your hair causing more breakage than normal.
2. Straighten your hair everyday or every other day? That could be a big reason.
3. Is your hair just long? I have noticed a length in my hair where it doesn't really get any longer than this without looking yucky. Your hair just gets brittle at some point. It's different for everyone!
...and about the itchyness..your probably just not rinsing well enough after washing it..b/c it doesn't sound abnormal.
More than normal hair loss?
its normal for you to loose hair. I would be concerned if you lost huge chunks of hair. It could be stress, when I was younger I lost some of my hair because of stress. If your concerned ask your doctor.

the first thing u should do in the morning is that splash tap water on closed eyes for 2 minutes.
Do yoga (pranayam) as instructed by ramdev baba on tv. i'd same problem as urs but now my hair fall has reduced in just 15 days. Also use hair oil available at ramdev's ayurvedic stores.
Never comb wet hair.
use hair softener before combing hair like livon.
In morning, take i glass juice of dudi(or loki, ghiya) + amla + apple mixed. it really works very quickly. if u cant prepare at home than amla juice is available at ramdev stores and just u have to prepare juice of unboiled (raw) dudi in juicer. and eat apple as such with it if u cant make juice of it. this one will really work.
try to protect ur hair from dust, sunlight for that use scarf.
apply mendi + amla shikakai aretha + egg twice a month.
eat protien rich diet like beans, chana, sprouts, pulses.
milk is very important for hairs. so atleast take i cup milk everyday.
remember only following any one of these may not help you completely. try to follow as many as of above u can do. and they are not very difficult also. i've followed all this n got really nice results , i'm sure they'll help you also.

i also have thyroid- go to a good lab n go for tsh t3 t4 level tests for thyroid. as soon as possible
