Baby Hair Loss?

My baby is two months old and she was born with a full head of hair. Everyone keeps telling me that she is going to start to lose it all soon. When do babies usually start loosing their hair? My baby hasnt lost a strand yet...can she still possibly loose her hair?

Baby Hair Loss?

she's a little young to start to loose it check to see if she's pulling it out . trying brush her hair and you can use petroleum jelly in it a massage the scalp no harsh hair food.

Baby Hair Loss?

If babies are going to lose their hair, they usually do it by 6 months. My daughter had a ton of hair and kept almost all of it. When they get a little more active and start turning their head from side to side, the rubbing causes the hair to come out. That's why you see some babies with bald spots on the sides or back of their head. Don't worry about it though, I'm sure she'll keep most of it.

Baby Hair Loss?

My daughter was born with a fair amount of hair and never lost any, she didn't even get a big bald spot when she started moving her head around. Your baby might not lose her hair.

Baby Hair Loss?

Not all babies loose their hair, so don't panic, she sounds like she is going to keep what she has already.

Baby Hair Loss?

Not all babies do lose their hair! Although its not uncommon. My daughter was born with a ton of black hair...she looked like Elvis, and she never lost a strand of it.

If she hasn't by now, my guess is she probably won't!

Congratulations by the way!

Baby Hair Loss?

I dont know...my lil cousin was born wit a head full of hair his hair start comin out when he was about 2 months but thats because he had ECZEMA

Baby Hair Loss?

Some babies lose hair in the back of the head because they are lying down all the time and from them moving their heads around while lying down. It's usually a wide patch in the back. Also, if your baby's hair is long, they will grasp and pull it out from time to time. Keep mittens or clean socks on her hands so she won't pull it out.

It differs for different babies, but allot of them start loosing hair around 2-4 months. She'll probably start loosing it on the back of her head where it rubs the most when she sleeps. It could even look patchy there for a while, but it all grows back, so don't worry.

Baby Hair Loss?

Not EVERY baby will lose their hair. You're baby may not lose any of her hair. If she does I would assume it would happen within the first 6 months.

Baby Hair Loss?

Just went to the standard "Baby Care Class" and the instructor told us it is normal for them to lose the hair, because it is not anchored in the follicles very well. (Which is why it comes out where they lay their heads when they sleep). It's not a bad thing, because they grow all new hair shortly. Some do keep it, just depends!

Baby Hair Loss?

I too have a baby who is 2 months old with a full head of long black hair. When I was born, I also had a ton of hair like my daughter. My mom said that it all fell out at 3 months and came back in blond. So I'm hoping to get past that three month mark. After that I hear that the hair she has, is the hair she'll keep. So I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us. Good Luck and Congrats!

Baby Hair Loss?

I have two little girls, both were born with LOTS of hair, every one told me that they would lose it, but they never did. Some kids do and some kids don't, my youngest is 20 months old. So your probably safe, but it could still happen.

Baby Hair Loss?

My daughter started losing her hair at around 3 or 4 months. She was born with tons and now has just a wispy mohawk and a bit of a mullet--she's really stylin'!

Baby Hair Loss?

my babies lost their hair by the time they were 4/5 months, not all of it tho,, its normal,,

Baby Hair Loss?

My baby is 4 weeks and has lost a little bit of hair on the top /sides of her head. It has made it kind of look like a mohawk (a red one no less!!) Not all lose their hair though... hopefully my little girl doesn't lose anymore!!

Baby Hair Loss?

I was born with a full head of hair and so was my son. Neither of us lost any of it. It is still possible for your baby, but I kind of doubt it.

Baby Hair Loss?

some babies do its caused by them not being abe to move much and they move there head and it rubs of..my son was born with a mop of hair and now he has bold patch on the back..but you might be lucky and she could end up losing none...so you will need hairdresser soon lol....
