Thick? you need a layered cut that would even out the distribution of your hair and it would be easier to handle.

Have a look at some of the links here before you decide.

your so lucky to have thick hair!

go to a salon and ask that they cut your hair in lots of layers. this will make your hair more manageable. good luck!

Have your hair thined with a thinning sheer. Then get a razor cut. This will thin it out a little more and give shape to the short cut.

Easy.. Get a razer cut. A razor cut usually thins out the hair so it can appear more manageable and its also easier to style. Make sure you receive a hair cut with layers with the razor cut. It would look more prettier.

If your loving your long hair then I wont sugest a short style. Although short is really easy to style. Mine takes 15 minutes in the morning and then I go to work. Mine is shorter in back and longer in the front sort of a punk cut. For long hair high lights are a blessing. They help to make your hair look straight and styled even when it's not. Put some face shaping layers. With a round brush comb down and blow dry at the same time for a quick straighening job. You can also curl in with the brush as you blow dry to give it a little flip. Hope everything goes well for you.

(1) Get your hair thinned out professionally

(2) Get layers put in for easier styling, the shorter the better

(3) Tell the hair stylist that you would like a wash %26amp; wear hairstyle

(4) A nice "body wave" (big perm rods) will help you with day to day styling without giving you a "fro" style. Just keep your hair conditioned well.
